Jeff Skilling Testifies in Enron Trial

The Enron trial is going into its last phases. Monday, Jeff Skilling takes the stand, hoping to exonerate himself. Later, Ken Lay will do the same.

Skilling says he's ready, and it's time.

The former chief executive's testimony will probably cover familiar ground, namely statements he made during two congressional hearings in February 2002. But with his attorneys asking the questions, he will be allowed to tell uninterrupted his version of the Enron saga.

What will Skilling say?

Enron was a healthy company when he left in August 2001, and that attorneys and accountants carefully reviewed all transactions and agreements.

He'll be saying it was Andrew Fastow and his subordinates who committed the crime.

    How you could not realize that your corporation is a complete and utter sham is beyond me.

    What will Skilling say?
    These thieves are from the Reagan school of testifying...I'd expect a mix of "don't recall", "didn't know", and "not my job".
