The Brazen and Depraved Politicians Putting Ecnomy Ahead of Health

The Colorado Department of Human Health says that the new COVID-19 variant is in our wastewater and is 50% more transmissible than Omnicron.

A few days ago, New York City Mayor Eric Adams became the latest in a line of value-challenged politicians brazenly putting the ability to make a buck over the health of city residents.

Mayor Eric Adams of New York City said Thursday, linking the decision to the city’s high rate of unemployment and the need to keep employees working. In ending the requirement that athletes and entertainers be vaccinated, he said:

“We’re going to make sure we’re healthy,” he said at a news conference at Citi Field, home of the Mets, where he was joined by executives of the Mets and the Yankees. “And being healthy is not only physically healthy, it’s economically healthy.

So, senior citizens and the immunocompromised in New York should have no doubt -- you've lived long enough and while losing you may upset your plans and your family's emotional health, the ability of the rest of the population to pretend we're back to "normal" is much more important.

In deciding to "live with COVID", these politicians are writing off the lives of those who physically are unlikely to survive COVID.

Just watching these sports/entertainment figures gather indoors, maskless and without social distancing, as if healthy people are not still being infected daily, despite being double-vaxxed and boosted, makes me feel very sorry for this country. How shallow and selfish Americans have become.

I cannot fathom why someone would showcase athletes and entertainers, already among the most grossly overpaid people in America, as representative of Americans in general and particularly as Americans in need of their paychecks.

There is no such thing as a return to normal. Whatever "normal" was is gone, never to return. Something like it may take its place, like the phony pretense being adopted left and right these days that COVID is over. The only thing that's changed is that our local and global politicians who once were promising to eradicate COVID with sound medically accepted practices have abandoned ship, chased by yesterday's B-listers into taking a dangerous stance to save their peronal pocketbooks and jobs.

There is so much that science still doesn't know. How many times can you get COVID? Why is every new variant of COVID is more transmissible than the last? Why are so many fully vaxxed and boosted still getting the virus for the first time? (Hillary Clinton for example).

I'm ready for my fourth dose now. I hope approval comes soon. In the meantime, I'm still masking and social distancing.

long COVID, I am now a prisoner of COVID. I still work but I don't leave my house. I have no interactions wit anyone other than my wife. I tried pulmonary rehab, but it didn't seem to help any. I still have breathing problems, tire easily and my recall is shot.

The country thinks its over. But for some of us, it is never over.

situation and it is devastating. He was fully vaxxed and picked up COVID at the hospital during a visit for other health problems. With all of the other things happening, COVID news seems to have almost disappeared. Here in California masks are now optional indoors
