Last night, I followed the link to Dylan Sahara's instagram page. Her photographs, particularly those of the places they traveled together, are just beautiful. Many instagram pages show beauty, but rarely do they capture the author's vibrancy and love of adventure and life as Dylan's do. Some of the professionally taken photos of Greece and Italy from just a month ago when they were celebrating their second wedding anniversary, are close to magical. Her photo of the Meteora Monasteries is startling (I had to google it to make sure it exists).

The loss of any life in a natural disaster is tragic. Nature is unpredictable and yes, cruel at times. At least 220 people died in this sudden Tsunami and more than 1,000 were injured. The families of all of them are grieving, and the death toll is expected to rise. The Seventeen Band's story -- and especially that of Riefian and Dylan, just resonated with me, and made me sad for all involved. RIP Dylan Sahara, and condolences to Riefian and all the families who are grieving from the loss of a loved one today.
