making sure his own kids have been properly raised so they can manage to conform their behavior to the requirements of the law before he goes poking his nose into other peoples' business and proposing new ways to make criminals out of brown people.

It was not too long ago that Italians were lumped in that "brown" category; I remember being a spectator to a lunchtime debate where the question presented was whether Italians were really white.

has dealt with any tendency towards criminality within his own family before making any proposals about dealing with crime in the rest of the country.
